Academic Scholarship

Empowering Calista Shareholders and Descendants to pursue their educational and career goals

We recognize that every journey is unique. Our scholarships are designed for flexibility and accessibility, ensuring our people receive the support they need to succeed. Through this program, we foster self-determination, growth, and opportunity — helping our people build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

Award Amounts

Scholarships may be used for tuition, books, and fees. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and satisfactorily complete their full-time or part-time status for the entire award period.

Award amounts are awarded using the following criteria, and are subject to funding availability:

  • Completed application and document submission
    (first-come, first-served)

  • GPA level

  • Full-time or part-time enrollment status

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  1. Calista Shareholder or Descendant of an Original Shareholder

  2. Alaska Native

  3. Accepted into an accredited school

  4. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher

Application Checklist

Applications must be fully completed with accurate information to be considered.
Applications are not considered complete until all required documents have been submitted.

Required Documents:

  1. Acceptance Letter or Proof of Application from your school

    You must be accepted into a school or program to receive the scholarship.

  2. Shareholder Verification Letter

    Verification that you are a Calista Shareholder or a Descendant of an Original Shareholder is required.

  3. CIB or Tribal Documentation

    Submit a copy of your Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) or Tribal Enrollment Documentation.

  4. Transcripts

    Submit your most recent unofficial transcript showing a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

    Full Year Award: June 15

    Partial Year Award: November 15
