Planning begins to merge the scholarship and cultural branches under one unified organization.
1995 - 2000
Collaborations begin between Elders and linguists (including Marie Meade, Alice Rearden, and the late Mark John) to translate and publish traditional stories, laying the foundation for ongoing Yup’ik oral tradition publications.
1993 - 1998
Elders begin recording oral histories across the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, sharing teachings on subsistence, spirituality, and Yuuyaraq.
