Career & Technical Education Scholarships

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship supports Calista Shareholders and Descendants pursuing vocational, trade, technical, and professional development programs that do not follow a typical academic schedule.

Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed on a quarterly basis. Awards are limited to available funds and determined based on demonstrated need.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Calista Shareholder or Descendant of an Original Shareholder

  • Alaska Native

  • Acceptance into an accredited school or program

Application Checklist

Applications must be fully completed with accurate information to be considered. Applications are not considered complete until all required documents have been submitted.

  1. Acceptance Letter or Proof of Application from your school

    You must be accepted into a school or program to receive the scholarship.

  2. Shareholder Verification Letter

    Verification that you are a Calista Shareholder or a Descendant of an Original Shareholder is required.

    We recommend requesting the document by email to avoid the 5-10 business day mailout delay.

  3. CIB or Tribal Documentation

    Submit a copy of your Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) or Tribal Enrollment Documentation.

Award Amount

Award amounts are to be determined based on:

  • Available funding at the time of review

  • Demonstrated financial need

  • Program requirements

Scholarships may be used for tuition, fees, and supplies, with possible exceptions depending on the programs.
